Israel’s survival depends on wars

A political commentator says the Israeli regime needs to ignite “conflicts” across the Middle East in order to ensure its “survival,” Press TV reports.

Massoud Shadjareh, the head of the Islamic Human Rights Commission told Press TV from London that the Tel Aviv regime cannot survive in peace and will remain reliant on “conflicts and wars.”

Israel fears peace and needs constant wars in order to justify its existence as the main recipient of US military and economic aid, the analyst said.

He stressed that the Tel Aviv regime has resorted to unprecedented levels of “violence” several times in recent years, Shadjareh added.

Israel has killed thousands of people during its three wars on Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip since 2008 alone.

Shadjareh noted, however, that the Israeli regime and Zionist ideology were doomed to failure.

He went on to say that Israel is playing a game of deception and showcasing horrific brutality in East al-Quds (Jerusalem) and other occupied Palestinian territories as well.

The remakes come as tensions have also been running high at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East al-Quds, where Israeli troops frequently mount raids or block access to Palestinian worshippers.

Shadjareh said Israel cannot “fool the international community” anymore and the world cannot remain indifferent to the Israeli crimes in Palestine.

The commentator concluded by saying that Israel’s relentless attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip will provoke Palestinians to launch a third Intifada (popular uprising).
